Wolfwalkers is the latest film from two-time Academy Award-nominee and director Tomm Moore and director Ross Stewart. It is now streaming on Apple TV+.

Hailed as one of the top 10 best films of 2020 by TIME, Wolfwalkers is the latest from two-time Academy Award-nominated director Tomm Moore (Song of the Sea, The Secret of Kells) and director Ross Stewart (The Secret of Kells), and co-produced by the award-winning animation studios Cartoon Saloon (Oscar and Golden Globe nominee, The Breadwinner) and Melusine Productions (Oscar nominee, Ernest & Celestine).

Wolfwalkers takes place in 1650 in Kilkenny, Ireland and in a time of superstition and magic. A young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack.  While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl. That girl is Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe. Rumor has it that they have the ability to transform into wolves by night.

Robyn and Mebh search for the latter’s missing mother. Through this search, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the Wolfwalkers. She risks turning into the very thing her father wants to destroy.

The film is getting rave reviews across the board. And critics are hailing it as a sure fire Oscar contender as Best Animated film.

Wolfwalkers is perfect for family viewing and  stars Honor Kneafsey, Eva Whitaker, and Sean Bean. Other stars include Simon McBurney, Tommy Tiernan, Jon Kenny, John Morton, and Maria Doyle Kennedy. Paul Young, Twomey, Moore and Stéphan Roelants, serve as producers, working from a screenplay by Will Collins.

The film is co-produced by the award-winning animation studios Cartoon Saloon (Oscar and Golden Globe nominee, The Breadwinner) and Melusine Productions (Oscar nominee Ernest & Celestine).
