Taking A Few Minutes To Appreciate The Hunt in ‘Prey’ As We Sit Down With Its Director and Producer

Yeah it’s true….the movie of the summer is actually streaming….

On this episode we had the unique pleasure of diving into a long storied action franchise that now has new breathe of life…  Here we dive into ‘Prey’.

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, this prequel to the Predator franchise tells the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

Prey gives new life to the genre with this new final girl spin and it’s a hell of a ride.  We had the unique pleasure of sitting down with director Dan Trachtenberg and producer Jhane Myers to talk about the carving out unique space in this universe, crafting a strong female character and having a laugh about the pronunciation of some Canadian cities…
