Catching up with Director Will Gluck for ‘Peter Rabbit 2’

Who can resist Peter Rabbit and his friends, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail? Well, clearly not director Will Gluck who brings us a second wild adventure starring Peter and his furry friends.

In Peter Rabbit 2, the lovable rogue is back. Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family. But despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation. Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where others appreciate his mischief. But Peter’s family risks everything to come looking for him. So he must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

James Corden lends his voice once again to become the mischievous Peter. A stellar cast that includes Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson joins Corden. The cast also includes David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie.

Will Gluck produced and directed the 3D live-action/computer-animated adventure comedy film, and he co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick Burleigh. The film is a sequel to 2018’s Peter Rabbit produced by Sony Pictures Animation. And it’s based on the stories of Peter Rabbit created by Beatrix Potter.

It is definitely a challenge shooting a film that is live action but relies heaving on computer animation. But Gluck says he had a still had a blast. Gluck says it felt like he was in actuality shooting two separate movies.  He was adamant about one thing. He made sure that the interaction between the live actors and the animated ones felt real.  The scenes are so realistic you will totally believe that the actors having conversations and interacting with their furry counterparts.

The adorable family film is now available widely on PVOD in Canada with leading digital retailers.
