Coming of age is not easy for a young teen. Throw in some pidgeons and a unexpeted friendship and you have the new heartwarming movie Little Wing.

Little Wing follows Kaitlyn, a teen who is reeling from her parents’ divorce and the pending loss of her home. She and her best friend hope to solve her mother’s financial woes by stealing a valuable bird, but Kaitlyn, instead, forms a bond with the owner, that leads her to a new outlook on life.

Starring in Little Wing are Brian Cox (Succession) as Jaan, the pigeon racer, Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone) as Maddie, Kaitlyn’s mom. It also features Brooklynn Prince (Cocaine Bear) as Kaitlyn, and Che Tafari (Me Time) as Adam, Kaitlyn’s classmate and friend. Little Wing is a poignant coming of age story inspired by The New Yorker article by Susan Orlean. Orlean’s article about pigeon racing surprisingly makes for a good film.

Brooklynn Prince is the breakout star from Sean Baker’s film, The Florida Project, for which she won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Performer.

Other credits include Neil Burger’s The Marsh King’s Daughter, appearing alongside Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn, Elizabeth Banks’ Cocaine Bear, which earned $23 million during its opening weekend. Brooklynn also starred in AppleTV+’s Home Before Dark from Jon M. Chu, where her leading performance garnered rave reviews. Brooklynn also starred in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and voiced a role in The Angry Birds Movie 2.

At the tender age of 7, Che Tafari landed his first television role in the Hulu series Difficult People. For that show, he worked with Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner. Then, in 2018, Che was tapped to be a series regular on the Fox show Rel with Lil Rel Howery and Sinbad. His recent film efforts include the Netflix comedy Me Time. There, he starred opposite Kevin Hart, Regina Hall and Mark Wahlberg playing their hilarious son. Audiences also saw him playing a leading role in the HBO Max movie 8-Bit Christmas.

For television, Che has also appeared in episodes of The Good Place with Ted Danson for NBC. He also appeared in Marvel’s Daredevil, and Starz’ Minx. Che has also been seen sharpening his dramatic skill in the series The Good Fight. There he shares the screen with Andre Braugher and Audra McDonald. Additionally, he is a trained pianist and member of the renowned Fernando Pullum Sr. Jazz Band. He studies classical, soul and orchestral music. Through his mentorship with jazz great Wynton Marsalis, Che is furthering his abilities in composing and conducting.
