Schmigadoon Season 2 – The Cast Gives us the Scoop on ‘Schmicago’

Attention all musical theatre fans! One of the best musical series is back for a second season. Welcome to Schmicago.

When Apple TV+ released Schmigadoon starring an all star (and mostly Broadway veterans) cast, musical theatre fans were in heaven! The sensational cast is back, once again led by Cicely Strong and Keegan Michael Key for Season 2, and this time they find themselves in a whole new world called,  Schmicago.

The Emmy and AFI Award winning, hit musical comedy series from co-creator Cinco Paul, is back for season two with six new episodes featuring all new original songs and guest stars.

Having found true love in the town of Schmigadoon, season two of Schmigadoon! will find Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) in Schmicago, the reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musicals. 

The second season of Apple’s broadly acclaimed comedy includes new original musical numbers from co-creator and executive producer Cinco Paul, as well as returning stars Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, and Aaron Tveit are back with Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page joining the cast for season two.

Get your dancing shoes on because you’ve got a front row seat when  Schmigadoon! returns for season two on Friday, April 7.

Our Bonnie Laufer was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with most of the cast and creator Cinco Paul about coming back for another season and all she has to say is, there better be a third!!
