Rob Schneider Is Back On The Comedy Circuit via Netflix

You can do it!!! Yes – Rob Schneider former Saturday Night Live funnyman is back and this time around it’s personal.

Schneider delivers the goods in his first Stand Up comedy special for Netflix called, “Asian Momma, Mexican Kids” and as the title suggests, he talks a lot about his family during the show. For the past several years he’s been touring small comedy clubs around the US working on material for the special and Schneider does not leave any family member out.

Schneider started his career as a stand up comedian. Long before he was on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Adam Sandler, David Spade and Chris Rock, Schneider was writing jokes and mailing them to the “SNL” offices in the hopes of being discovered.

His persistence paid off and since landing his gig on SNL Schneider has appeared in some of the biggest comedic films of the last 3 decades including “50 First Dates,” “Grown Ups ” and “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.” He also stars in the Netflix series “Real Rob” which gives audiences an exaggerated and pretty hilarious look at his real life.

A dad from his first marriage, his eldest daughter is Country singing sensation Elle King. Schneider has remarried and now has two little ones to contend with and sees life from a whole new perspective as an older father.

A real highlight of the special is at the end when Schneider sings a duet with his daughter Elle. You can just feel how proud he is of her and it’s such a delight to watch them together. It’s the first time they performed live and it’s clear to when you hear Rob sing where Elle gets her vocal chops!

Bonnie Laufer spoke with Rob Schneider about the new special,  his life long friendship with Adam Sandler and David Spade and whether or not we will see another Deuce Bigalow movie.
