Meet Emma D’Arcy the Breakout Star of Truth Seekers

Do you have ghost problems? Who you gonna call? The Truth Seekers of course!!

Truth Seekers is a new supernatural comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see.

These investigators stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos. In doing so, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.

Set in a mysterious world filled with dread and just-out-of-sight monsters, Truth Seekers mixes the very funny with the very scary in an exciting take on genre storytelling. It stars Nick Frost as Gus, Simon Pegg as Dave, Samson Kayo as Elton, Malcolm McDowell as Richard, Emma D’Arcy as Astrid, and Susan Wokoma as Helen.

British actress Emma D’Arcy is a stand out as Ingrid, a young woman on the run from ghosts that are haunting her. She quickly teams up with Paranormal Investigators, Gus and Elton played by Nick Frost and Samson Kayo and as you can imagine, chaos ensues!

From the minds that gave us Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Sick Note and Paul, Truth Seekers is co-written by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz who executive produce alongside Miles Ketley and Jim Field Smith, who also serves as director.

Truth Seekers premieres on Friday, October 30. The Amazon series consists of eight half-hour episodes in Season 1 and lands just in time for Halloween.

Bonnie Laufer spoke to Emma via Zoom fro her home in London. They discussed what it was like being on set with such a funny  group. Given her extensive theatre background she also gave her thoughts on the future of live theatre as an industry that has suffered this year as a result of COVID.
