The comedy series created and written by Tony McNamara follows Catherine the Great (Elle Fanning) as she marries Peter III of Russia (Nicholas Hoult) and rises in power. In Season Two; Catherine finally takes the throne for her own , but if she thought coup-ing her husband was difficult, it’s nothing compare to the realities of liberating a country that never wanted to be in the first place. She’ll battle her court, her team and even her own mother to bring enlightenment to Mother Russia.
