Harold Perrineau Gives us the 411 on his Bone Chilling New Series ‘From’

Get ready Canada, Harold Perrineau is back and his new series From is coming to Paramount Plus.

The contemporary sci-fi horror series From will be premiering on the streamer on September 27, 2022. The series features a stellar ensemble cast led by Harold Perrineau (Lost).

Filmed in 2021 in beautiful Nova Scotia, From unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. The unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out. They also must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. These threats include the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

In addition to Perrineau, the cast includes Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers, Once Upon a Time). Joining them is Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair). Canadians in the cast include Shaun Majumder, Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster and Avery Konrad. Other Canadian cast members include Chloe Van Landschoot and David Alpay (Castle Rock). Last but not least are Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth Moy, Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), and Pegah Ghafoori.

Executive Producer, Jeff Pinker is excited that Canadians are finally going to get a chance to see the series. “We are thrilled that From — filmed in beautiful Nova Scotia with a ridiculously talented Canadian crew — will finally be available for a Canadian audience.” He continues, “Our series is populated by a variety of complex characters from various backgrounds, all trapped in a terrifying circumstance — good luck to our Canadian friends who try to untangle the mystery.”

John Griffin created From and Jack Bender serves as both executive producer and directed the first four episodes.

Our Bonnie Laufer spoke with Harold (who is currently on set in Nova Scotia to start shooting season 2,) about his career. They also discuss that crazy ending of Lost and of course, his new sci-fi series, From.
