Chord Overstreet is having a great time in ‘Acapulco’

Former Glee star Chord Overstreet is having the time of his life on the hit Apple TV+ series Acapulco.

Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman created the series. They took inspiration from the 2017 movie How to Be a Latin Lover.

The two-timeline series is centered around Maximo Gallardo Ramos, played by Eugenio Derbez in the present day. Enrique Arrizon plays the character’s past version (1984), as Maximo lives out his rags-to-riches story.

Chord Overstreet is hilarious as Chad, the misunderstood and misguided son of Diane, the woman who runs the show’s glamourous hotel/resort.

In season three of Acapulco, it’s time to reconcile past mistakes and exciting new beginnings. In the present story, older Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) finds himself returning to a Las Colinas he no longer recognizes. While in 1985, younger Maximo (Enrique Arrizon) continues his climb up the ladder of success. He does this while potentially jeopardizing all the relationships he worked so hard to build.

Acapulco season three debuted globally on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 with the first three episodes. Following them are new episodes every Wednesday through June 19.

Our Bonnie Laufer spoke with Chord Overstreet about working on the series and his fondest memories of being a part of the groundbreaking series Glee.
