After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with writer/director Alek Keshishian to talk about how he got the job, how his career has been paralleled by two iconic pop stars, the importance of making something that really showed the human side of the pop star life when it gets derailed by health issues and life in general.

All this as well as hosting and moderating a variety of big screen events around the city, covering film in all its forms is just a way of life for him.
