You’ve gotta support the Can-Con…
In Through Black Spruce the disappearance of a young Cree woman named Suzanne Bird triggers events in two worlds: the remote Northern Ontario town she fled years ago, and the big city where she became a successful model. Up north, her uncle Will clashes with a local drug dealer who’s looking for Suzanne, and believes Will knows her whereabouts. Meanwhile, her fiercely independent twin sister Annie travels to Toronto to retrace her sibling’s footsteps… and finds herself drawn into the seductively glamorous life Suzanne left behind.
After it’s bow at the last edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, Through Black Spruce makes its debut nationwide this Friday but you can see it before anybody else tomorrow Wednesday the 27th in Ottawa (with director Don McKellar in attendance!) or on the evening of the 28th in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Your chance to win simply couldn’t be easier.
E-mail us at [email protected] with your full name, ‘Through Black Spruce-YOUR CITY’ in the subject header and the answer to the following question. Name something else that Don McKellar has directed.
The contest is open to all residents of the previously mentioned cities and will run until TOMORROW Mar. 27th at 11:59AM. All winners will be informed after the contest has closed.
