The best ways are simply vanishing all too fast…
In the heart of fabled Greenwich Village, there’s one establishment that serves as a reminder of the bohemia that once was, it’s Carmine Street Guitars. There custom guitar maker Rick Kelly and his young apprentice Cindy build handcrafted guitars with reclaimed wood from old bars, churches and anything else in between. There’s nothing on this either that quite looks or sounds like a Rick Kelly guitar, which is why they’ve been embraced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Lou Reed and countless others. Carmine Street Guitars captures five days in the life of this iconic establishment and why this way of life is vanishing all too quickly.
