It’s always important to look at things from a different perspective…
In Transit we meet Georg, a German refugee (Franz Rogowski), flees to Marseille assuming the identity of a recently deceased writer whose papers he is carrying. There he delves into the delicate and complex culture of the refugee community, becoming enmeshed in the lives of a young mother and son and falling for a mysterious woman named Marie (Paula Beer).
Playing this Sunday Jan. 26th at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Transit made out year end list for 2019 and is easily one of the best films in recent memory that may have flown under your radar; which is what the ‘Best of the Decade: An Alternate View’ retrospective at TIFF Bell Lightbox is all about as it starts tomorrow and run until Mar. 11th with some of the best films of the decade…that you just may have never seen; and thanks to our friends at TIFF, we have a pair of tickets to give to you. Your chance to win simply couldn’t be easier.
E-mail us at [email protected] with your full name, ‘Best of the Decade’ in the subject header and the answer to the following question. Who is the director of Transit?
The contest is open to all residents of Toronto, one entry per household please and it will run until Friday Jan. 24th at 11:59AM. All winners will be informed after the contest has closed.
