It’s always amazing to see what extreme situations can do to people…
Stockholm is based on the absurd but true 1973 hostage crisis in Stockholm that was documented in the New Yorker as the origins of the ‘Stockholm Syndrome’. The story focuses on a female bank clerk (Noomi Rapace) who falls for her captor, an unhinged American outlaw (Ethan Hawke) as she turns against the police and aids in his escape attempt.
With Hamilton doubling for the city of Stockholm, this is one of those stories that feels so absurd that it must actually be true. Thanks to our friends at eOne films we have some double passes to an advance screening on Wednesday April 10th in Toronto and Vancouver so that you can see it before anybody else as it opens on Friday April 12th. Your chance win couldn’t be easier.
E-mail us at [email protected] with your full name, mailing address, ‘Stockholm-Your City’ in the subject header and the answer to the following question. One of the stars of the film that we mentioned above was actually born in Sweden…which one?
The contest is open to all residents of Canada, one entry per household please and it will run until Sunday April 7th at 11:59PM. All winners will be informed after the contest has closed.
