Sometimes you just have to pay reverence to something a little different.
Here at “In The Seats” we pay attention to anything that makes us want to put our butts “In The Seats” as it were. Opening on Remembrance Day (Nov 11th) and running until the 15th at the Al Green Theatre here in downtown Toronto, the stunning play State of Women returns to the floorboards for a short run and we have a pair of tickets for opening night just for you.
Bringing back the Rosies from Jenkins, State of Women is the story of Eve Landing, a simple girl from Oregon, thrust into the WWII war effort building planes in San Francisco with a group of unique and headstrong women. One day when her picture makes into a magazine she finds herself as the poster child for the women’s lib movement for women all across the globe to keep working. However as her story unfolds and the war winds down, with men returning home to reclaim the jobs that they had left, she finds herself faced with decisions that she never expected to make that will not only affect her life, but the life of those around her.
Winning is easy, e-mail us here at [email protected] with your name and address and answer the following question. The theme of working women during the war also inspired a short lived but hit TV show in 2012-2013…name that TV show.
This contest will run until Monday November 9th at 11:59AM and is open to all residents of Toronto. Winners will be notified via e-mail after the contest has closed.
