Top Gun will forever rank as one of the best action films and eternally remains as a high octane energy rush from beginning to end as young Pete Mitchell (Tom Cruise) and his need to push it to the limit in order to prove that he is the best will also show how much he has to actually learn while thirty years later in Top Gun: Maverick we’ll see that our favourite aviator who is coming to the tail end of his career must ultimately confront the ghosts of his past when he returns to the school that started it all for him in order to train a group of elite graduates that includes Lt. Bradshaw (Miles Teller); the son of his former wingman “Goose”. As Maverick sees fewer days ahead in the cockpit then behind he begins to wonder if the sacrifices that he’s made and will make for this specialized mission they are training for are ultimately worth it.
