WIN DOUBLE PASSES TO AN ADVANCE SCREENING OF ‘ANTHROPOID’

Making change and fighting for what you believe in always comes at a price.  Anthropoid is based on the extraordinary true story of “Operation Anthropoid,” the code name for the Czechoslovakian operatives’ mission to assassinate SS officer Reinhard Heydrich and thanks to our friends at Elevation Pictures we have double passes for advance screenings in Toronto, Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Halifax on the evening of Aug. 11th (the 10th in Ottawa and Winnipeg) before it opens in theatres everywhere on Fri Aug. 12th.

Reinhard Heydrich was the main architect behind the Final Solution and was the Reich’s third in command behind Hitler and Himmler and the leader of Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia. The film follows two soldiers from the Czechoslovakian army-in-exile, Josef Gabčík (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubis (Jamie Dornan), who are parachuted into their occupied homeland in December 1941. With limited intelligence and little equipment in a city under lock down, they must find a way to assassinate Heydrich, an operation that would change the face of Europe forever.

The horrors of war truly do bring out the best and the worst in humanity and this rarely told story brings yet another new perspective on the grim period of the Second World War.

E-mail us at contests@intheseats.ca with the subject header ‘Anthropoid’ along with your full name, city and the answer to the following question.  Star Cillian Murphy is shooting another WWII drama right now with director Christopher Nolan, name that movie.

The contest will run until Monday August 8th at 11:59AM, winners will be informed via e-mail after the contest has closed and please remember to arrive to the screening early as seating is not guaranteed.

Anthropoid opens in theatres across the country on Fri August 12th.
